Scheduling the first appointment is intimidating, but it can significantly improve your quality of life if you open your mind to it. Engaging in therapy with a qualified therapist can enhance your ability to handle life stressors, overcome distressing emotions, and deal with difficult relationships.

It is my mission to provide a healthy, supportive therapeutic environment for my clients so they can empower themselves to take control of their lives and increase their emotional well-being. I believe you deserve to feel good about yourself and your surroundings. Let me help you achieve that.

Get to know Laura…

What’s one thing people should know about you?

I'm from a small town in Nebraska and grew up on a farm. My upbringing in a small community makes me really appreciate the anonymity my family can have in Omaha, but I also recognize how Omaha can feel just as much like a small town at times.

What’s your favorite quote?

"Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they are never weakness."

Brene Brown

What are some of your hobbies?

Any form of crafting. Omaha World Herald crossword puzzles (Monday through Friday only!). Lazy Sunday mornings watching Pioneer Woman with coffee. Book club with my neighbors. Cooking scratch-made meals when I have the time.

What’s your favorite color?

Subtle hues of blue are my favorite. I feel a sense of calmness in that color, whether it is a pretty blue/green, a crisp navy, or a relaxed blue/gray. I think those blues are the "deep breaths" of color. They just remind me of the sky and open air.

What motivates you?

My kids. I want to give them the best life I possibly can. Second, my clients. Over the years I've learned to mesh well with a variety of clients who have sat on my couch. There is something to be said about the connection that can be built when sitting one-on-one and getting "real" with one another.

I genuinely want emotional relief for my clients, just as much as I want to be a good mom to my kids.
